About us
The student council initiative consists of students from the Biology Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Teacher Education (Biology) programs. Seven of its members are elected and form the official student representatives.
As student representatives, we advocate for the interests and concerns of students and represent them in university policy matters. The student council initiative also organizes events and provides support with various student-related concerns.

The statue in der middle is the Zebrapig Anastasia
The lore ofthe Zebrapig Anastasia: Anastasia is the zebra pig in the courtyard of the Biozentrum and has 66 black stripes. She found her way to us through an art exhibition, where some former FIBio members discovered Anastasia and received the figure as a gift from the artist. This is how she became the mascot of FIBio. By the way, FIBio was founded in 1976.
Our goals as Student council
Of course, we also set goals for each legislative term and work towards achieving them. Here, we have outlined the objectives we have set for ourselves and those we have already accomplished.
